Welcome to Prince Edward County TRIAD!

Prince Edward County TRIAD has been a part of this state-wide initiatives for three years and counting! Read on to learn more about this organization and what you can do to be a part of it!

What is TRIAD?

TRIAD is a partnership consisting of seniors, local law enforcement officers, and senior service providers, who agree to work together to reduce criminal victimization of the elderly and enhance the delivery of law enforcement and other services to older persons.

A major purpose of TRIAD is to develop, expand and implement effective crime prevention and education programs for older community members. Activities center on both preventative and protective aspects.

TRIAD works to improve the quality of life for seniors. By providing an opportunity for the exchange of information between senior service providers, seniors, and law enforcement, TRIAD can also focus on reducing unwarranted fear of crime.

How does TRIAD work?

Key element in success of any TRIAD is an advisory council known as S.A.L.T (Seniors and Law Enforcement Together). S.A.L.T. council meets on regular basis to develop, expand, and implement effective crime prevention and educational programs for seniors.
